Questions

Questions about the online lash course

The things people ask us most before they enrol.

Can you learn eyelash extensions online?

Yes. With over 25 hours of step by step video, a practice head and marked practice work, you learn at your own pace and can rewatch any step. Many of our students had done in-person training first and said they learnt more online.

Do I need any experience to start?

No. The Classic course starts from the very beginning. The Russian Volume course is for after you have about three months of classic experience, and it is already included for when you are ready.

Is the course accredited, and do I get a certificate?

Yes. Julia is a NALA accredited trainer, and you receive two certificates of completion, one for classic and one for volume, once you finish your modules.

How do I become a lash artist in Australia?

Australia has no national licence for lash extensions, but insurers and clients expect proper training and a certificate, and some councils have rules for beauty businesses, so check yours. This course gives you the training, the certificates and the business side to start.

How long does the course take?

It depends on how you learn and how much time you have. Some students finish in a week, others take six months. You work at your own pace.

Do I need the kit?

If you do not have your own products yet, the kit is the easiest way to start: classic kit, volume kit and pre-made fans. If you already have a kit, choose course only and use your 20% student code for anything you need.

Each new question that comes to mind is answered before I need to ask. Every basis really has been covered and although I was hesitant about studying virtually, I’m looking forward to practicing on my girls and building my business and introducing lashes to my clients! The only thing I have found difficult is practicing on the doll as the doll lashes are a little unrealistically long compared to what most natural lashes would be like. But it does give you a good feel for learning to isolate the lashes.

You simply follow along with your kit and practice mannequin head that you have received from us.

It depends on the individual. If you worked on this FULL TIME, you may be able to get it done in a couple of months, with case studies on real models etc.
