The terms premade and promade are often used interchangeably in the lash industry but there is a subtle difference. Premade fans are factory-made using heat bonding at the base to hold the fan shape. Promade fans are hand-crafted with a glue bond at the base, similar to how a lash artist would make a handmade fan. Promade fans generally have a thinner, flatter base which allows for better adhesive contact with the natural lash and a more natural-looking result. Both are significantly faster to apply than handmade fans, making them popular in busy salons.
